Peach Jam

Peach Jam
This is the first year I've made jam from fresh picked Ontario peaches.  I've always been somewhat reluctant about making peach jam, as it is one of my least favourites.  In fact, I only buy it when called for in a recipe.

Not anymore!  Homemade peach jam is AMAZING!

This is my favourite homemade jam of all that I made this year.  (blueberry, cherry, strawberrystrawberry 2, strawberry & rhubarb)  The flavour is so much better than that of store-boughten jam and the process of making this jam was almost effortless.

I can't wait to show you a couple of other things we did with peaches we bought.  Did you see my recipe for the stove-top turkey roast I made?   My biggest regret is not buying more peaches while out at the farms.

Did you see my tip on Basil from yesterday?  Tested and proven to be true!

INGREDIENTS:
3 lbs Peaches (without pits and skinless)
1 cup Sugar

  20. Ellen, you've inspired me to go out and buy another (I've already bought 2) bushels of fresh peaches to make this jam. I've simply got to have this fresh taste of summer throughout the winter months! KUDOS!!!!

  23. I love peach jam! You were definitely a prolific jam maker this summer with all those different flavours. I'm hoping that I find the time to make some jam before all the delicious summer fruit disappears! And I didn't know you were from Ontario too!

  24. Love peach jam or jelly... I usually make jellies instead as my husband doesn't like chunks. I still have some juice from last year I need to use up before I buy to many peaches.
