Barbecued Peaches |
Have you ever tried barbecuing a peach?
I've been seeing a lot of recipes that include barbecued peaches with a variety of dressings. They all looked so good, but before I attempt making any of those recipes, I thought it would be nice to experiment and try my first tasting with a plain old peach. (No dressing).
I simply cut the peach in half, twisted it open and removed the pit. Barbecuing was simple. We grilled them faced down and they cooked right through. These peaches were so sweet and tasty within their own natural sugars that I can't imagine the need to garnish them, but you may want to try them with sprinkled cinnamon and/or brown sugar.
Looks so good! When our heat wave in Virginia dies down a little bit, I'm going to make these at our next cookout! :) Thanks for sharing. -Mia

ReplyDeleteOh my these look delicious! This is something I have been wanting to try. This year we got probably 300 peaches from the backyard trees. Today's peach recipe was some muffins with a little blog of cream cheese baked into the center :) Used up exactly two peaches, however. I will definitely plan some peach grilling into the menu soon. Thanks for the inspiring, mouthwatering photos.
