A few weeks ago, I was browsing around other blogs looking for eggless recipes and stumbled upon this amazing recipe at Inside Bru Crew Life.
These cookies looked incredibly delicious, so I knew I had to show my daughter the recipe. Sure enough, she agreed to make them, as long as we had the ingredients in-house.
Fortunately, we had all that we needed, so little Miss Happy Baker got to work. ~A name I've given her because there isn't one thing that she's baked that hasn't turned out great, until these cookies came along.
- Were they perfect? NO!
- Were they terrible? NO!
- Do they look like the cookies on Bru Crew Life? NO!
- So what's the problem? It was the organic cake mix we used :(
Sometimes you've got to give in a just buy a Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines cake mix. A classic is just that!
For this reason, I'm only giving this recipe One-Thumb Up and will reserve the other for the next time my daughter makes these cookies using regular "classic" cake mix.

I've also posted this recipe at The Country Cook's Weekend Potluck Post. Take a look at all the wonderful recipes linked onto her post.
