Osso Bucco |
It's all about using your favourite tomato sauce ... We use our very own homemade sauce and will be sharing that recipe with you in September. (Once we've made our annual batch).
Searing the shanks to lock in their natural flavours and simmering on low for a good 45 minutes should guarantee the meat's tenderness.
Add your favourite pasta on the side and voila! ~ A meal to lick your chops!
INGREDIENTS:
2 Onions
3 Garlic Cloves
Veal Shanks
Tomato Sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
I love this dish but I usually only ever get it when I go to high end restaurants. Great to know I can replicate it in a home kitchen. Thanks for the share.
ReplyDeleteI love how simple you make things! The directions are perfect and oh did I mention its only 9:00 am here and all I can think about is how bad I want your pasta! Looks super duper yummy!
ReplyDeleteI have honestly never tried osso bucco. It sounds wonderful and looks tasty. Thanks
ReplyDeleteWe cannot get veal in the area where I now live, but when we were on the east coast this was one of our favorite family dishes. Your version looks delicious. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteYum ... Delicious! I will have to try this for my husband.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
And ditto to what Ashlee said.
